Data Retention Policy - TAX TALK
Effective date: 10 May 2026
TAX TALK applies data minimization for sensitive Thai tax data. Data is retained only while needed for the app feature, account continuity, support, security, legal compliance, or user-requested recovery.
Retention summary
- Account records: retained while the account is active and deleted after account deletion is completed, except records required for legal or security reasons.
- Tax forms and calculations: retained while the user keeps them in the account or until the user deletes the account/data.
- Chat history: retained for account continuity and can be deleted with account/data deletion workflows.
- OCR attachments and extracted text: retained only as long as required to process, display, or troubleshoot the requested OCR workflow.
- Payment entitlement metadata: retained while needed to verify subscription access, refunds, disputes, accounting, or fraud prevention. RevenueCat customer deletion is requested automatically after account deletion; a metadata-only cleanup receipt is retained for 90 days.
- Redacted logs and monitoring data: retained for short operational windows for debugging, reliability, abuse prevention, and audit needs.
Deletion requests
Signed-in users can request deletion from Settings > Data deletion. TAX TALK requires recent authentication and provides a 7-day cancellation period before deleting the Firebase account, profile, tax records, chat history, and corresponding RevenueCat customer record. Limited consent, payment, security, and deletion evidence may remain for the documented legal or operational retention period. Deleting a TAX TALK account does not cancel an active Google Play or App Store subscription; users must cancel store subscriptions separately.
External-provider cleanup is tracked and verified by an authorized privacy administrator. Users can also follow the public Delete TAX TALK account instructions. Partial, exceptional, or access-related requests can be sent to taxtalk66@gmail.com.
